5Description:
6
7ConfClerk is an application written in Qt, which makes conference
8schedules available offline.  It displays the conference schedule
9from various views, supports searches on various items (speaker, speech topic,
10location, etc.) and enables you to select favorite events and create your own
11schedule.
12
13At the moment ConfClerk is able to import schedules in XML format created by
14the PentaBarf conference management system (or frab) used by e.g. FOSDEM,
15DebConf, FrOSCon, Grazer Linuxtage, and the CCC.
16
17ConfClerk is targeted at mobile devices like the Nokia N810 and N900 but
18works on any system running Qt.

100History:
101
102ConfClerk started as fosdem-schedule, targeted at Maemo as an operating
103system and the FOSDEM conference.
104fosdem-schedule was written by Ixonos Plc., maintained at
105http://sourceforge.net/projects/fosdem-maemo/ , and released under the GNU GPL
1062 or later.
107Cf. docs/fosdem-schedule for more information.
108
109ConfClerk is the successor of fosdem-schedule, aiming at improvements and
110generalization regarding supported platforms and conference systems.
111The project was started after fosdem-schedule was not actively developped
112anymore and with the "blessing" of the fosdem-schedule developers; cf.
113http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=20110621171440.GA4521%40nerys.comodo.priv.at&forum_name=fosdem-maemo-devel
